Why Can You Not Press onto Cotton or Natural Fibres? Sublimation works best on synthetic polyester rather than natural fibres like cotton. To demonstrate, compare two shirts: one with 60% polyester and 40% cotton, and another with 60% cotton and 40% polyester. The difference is clear in terms of vibrancy and ink absorption. Cotton does not bond well with sublimation ink, causing designs to fade after washing. For long-lasting prints, always opt for synthetic polyester fabrics. Why Does the Sublimation Blanket SL Heat Mat Take So Long to Settle? When first using a heat press, the mat must be properly settled. This guide will walk you through the step-by-step assembly process to ensure proper installation and functionality. Unpacking the Heat Press Dismantle the Box: Use a spanner or an electric drill with a flat screwdriver to dismantle the packaging. Locate the Parts: The parts are placed at the bottom of the box, so unpack them carefully. Remove the Main Unit: Lift the main unit off the bottom section of the box using leverage for easier handling. Installing the Wheels and Feet Attach the Wheels:Secure the wheels to the base, ensuring the lockable wheels are installed at the front. Hand-tighten all screws first, then fully secure them using a spanner. Install the Feet:Attach the feet between the wheels. Keep them slightly shorter than the wheels for now. Positioning the Heat Press Carefully slide the main unit off the box and place it in a suitable location. Lock the front wheels to secure the machine in place.
